    Circle of Welcome

    Grace recently began a partnership with Lutheran Services Carolinas and developed a Circle of Welcome, walking with newly arrived refugee families and helping with various aspects of their settlement in Raleigh. This has been a life-giving ministry both for Grace, and our partner family, an Afghan refugee family of 10.

    Families Together

    Families Together (PLM) provides housing and comprehensive services for homeless families in Wake County, including assessment, short-term transitional housing with intensive support services, permanent housing placement, and after case management.

    Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

    North Raleigh Ministries

    The NRM Crisis Center and NRM Food Pantry provide assistance to eligible people who live in the North Raleigh area. Grace members regularly volunteer in the thrift shop and food pantry and also serve in leadership positions. A collection bin can be found in the narthex for donations of non-perishable food and other household or hygiene products needed.

    Lutheran Disaster Relief Carolinas

    Lutheran Disaster Response shares God’s hope, healing and renewal with people whose lives have been disrupted by disasters in the United States and around the world. LDR Carolinas has been established to help specifically in this region of the country.

    Lutheran Peace Advocacy

    Wake County Lutheran Peace Advocacy is an independent community of Lutheran peacemakers working for peace with justice locally. Community members meet regularly to promote active nonviolence in Wake County, NC. Lutheran Peace Advocacy provides staffing of an educational booth at the NC State Fair.

    Lutheran World Relief saves and improves lives in the poorest parts of the world.

  • Urban Ministries of Wake County

    This ministry seeks to provide help and opportunities to those who are struggling with hunger, healthcare and homelessness. Grace specifically is involved in the Helen Wright Center.

Ministries Within Our Congregation

    Grace Endowment Fund

    The Grace Endowment Fund provides scholarships to congregation members pursuing higher education. Since 2000, over forty-five scholarships have been awarded. The application process includes an essay describing the importance of the faith and the congregation in their lives. Recipients have gone on to serve in education, science, architecture, industry, foreign service, and other fields. Recipients have also gone to graduate school.
    Donations are tax deductible, and contributions may be made to Grace Endowment Fund, Inc. and sent to the church or may be made online.

    Grace Memorial Garden

    Grace Memorial Garden, a columbarium on the grounds of our church, is a place for the interment of the cremated remains of loved ones, and for reverent reflection and meditation.

    Amazing Graces Quilt Ministry

    Amazing Graces is one of Grace’s oldest and most cherished ministries, begun over 40 years ago to create quilts for Lutheran World Relief. The group meets Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon (except in December) in the All-Purpose Room to cut, pin, and assemble quilts that bring warmth and comfort to people in need across the world.

    This dedicated team has completed over 100 quilts since last November, with recent donations supporting Hurricane Helene relief in Western NC.

    New helpers are always welcome—no sewing experience required! Bring a bag lunch to enjoy after the work is done. For more information, contact Lin Gunnet or Carla Mallinson.
