Need an excellent preschool? Preregister for 2009-10 now!
The School of Grace is a non-profit mission of Grace. The preschool serves typically developing children, children with special needs, and children from refugee families, ages 6 months to 5 years. As a Christian program, children learn and play in a Christ-centered environment. As a Parent Participatory Program, parents are actively involved in the education of their children. We encourage you to visit, volunteer, and recommend this excellent preschool!

Prayer Shawl Dedication
Prayer Shawl Dedication
The altar was covered in prayer shawls for a dedication of the shawls and a blessing of the ministry. Members of the Grace family knit shawls, praying for the recipients as they knit. Shawls have been knit to comfort the sick, dying, and grieving. Others have been knit to accompany people through life transitions. Many have been knit to give to guests at Kairos Outside, a retreat ministry for women affected by the incarceration of a friend or family member. And one was knit for Pastor Michael on his birthday. Would you like to share the love of Christ with someone? Contact Jill Nobles if you'd like to knit a shawl or order one.

Four Keys Training
Camp Agape
October 23-24
L learn more about passing on the faith, especially as it relates to practices in the home. Camp Agape will be hosting Paul Hill from The Youth and Family Institute for an overnighter Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24. Randy, Agape's Executive Director, has said that this presentation should move beyond the basics with which we are fairly familiar. The cost seems very reasonable at $75 for the overnight, program, and meals or $50 for Saturday only. See AIM Ellen for details. Scholarships possible. (Program details)

Circle of Support
Join a Circle of Support to help a family that will be graduating from the PLM-Families Together program. The Circle of Support will exist for 12 to 18 months and will meet monthly to discuss and then act on ways to help our Family. We need 6 to 10 people that want to be involved for the whole time, and people who want to share their gifts on a limited basis. This first year of transitioning back into permanent housing after having been homeless brings many challenges to a family. As a Circle of Support we will help a family meet some of these challenges. The Sheep and Goats Committee and the Grace Church Council have endorsed this project. Our group will receive training, like the other 20+ Circles of Support that have formed, before we are paired with a family. If you are interested, please call or email me. I look forward to working with you. Tommy Oates; 868-6500; o_tommy@bellsouth.net
