Prayer Shawl Dedication
On August 29 the altar was covered in prayer shawls for a dedication of the shawls and a blessing of the ministry. Members of the Grace family knit shawls, praying for the recipients as they knit.
Shawls have been knit to comfort the sick, dying, and grieving. Others have been knit to accompany people through life transitions. Many have been knit to give to guests at Kairos Outside, a retreat ministry for women affected by the incarceration of a friend or family member. And one was knit for Pastor Michael on his birthday. Would you like to share the love of Christ with someone? Contact Jill Nobles if you'd like to knit a shawl or order one. |
