Women of the ELCA Purpose Statement
As a community of women
created in the image of God,
called to discipleship in Jesus
Christ, and
empowered by the Holy Spirit,
We commit ourselves to
grow in faith,
affirm our gifts,
support one another in our callings,
engage in ministry and action, and
promote healing and wholeness
in the church, the society, and
the world.
We Are Listening

The Women of the ELCA theme for 2005-8 is "Act Boldly!" giving women in the organization the opportunity to explore their boldness and to act upon it in various arenas and activities of daily life. The state Women of the ELCA theme is "Pray Boldly, Act Boldly!".

Three goals guide the Grace Women of the ELCA:
Committing to support and nurture others in their faith walk.
Strengthening our community of faith through Bible study and prayer.
Reaching out to those in need in our church and community, especially through those programs supported by Women of the ELCA.

Bible study for each meeting is taken from Lutheran Woman Today. Visit their web site to subscribe. Lutheran Woman Today
