Tommy Chapman
US Army, 82nd Airborne, Ft. Bragg

Tommy enlisted in the army in July 2001 for three years. After initial training at Fort Benning he was stationed at Fort Bragg with the 82nd Airborne Division. He deployed to Kuwait on February 14, 2003. In March he fought in the Iraq war and remained on occupation duty in Baghdad for the rest of the year. He returned with his unit to Fort Bragg on January 19, 2004. Tom left the service in July 2004.

Tommy returned to Raleigh after his first tour of duy to pursue a degree. In the Spring of 2005 he was called back into service for the National Guard and served in Iraq through May of 2006.
