Dear Sisters in Christ,

Our meeting on October 9th was a huge success where we completed our business and planning for the remainder of the year which will include two luncheons and we assembled 38 personal care kits. They will be boxed up and stored with the Amazing Graces quilts until they can all be shipped out to Lutheran World Relief just before Thanksgiving.

Save the date for our upcoming Christmas party on Tuedsay December 11th in the Fellowship Hall. We are again asking for donations of the usual items; a covered dish, a dessert, two or three dozen cookies for the baskets, a centerpiece, and Christmas towels for the baskets (dishtowels would be most appropriate, and are inexpensive from the Dollar Stores and Kohls). Look in the Narthex for a signup sheet.

Looking ahead, in February we will again host a luncheon meal, this time in celebration of Volunteerism. Our program will celebrate the various ways in which the women, men, and youth of our congregation give of their time and talents to congregational and community ministries, as well as guiding those who may be interested in offering their own talents and time to these ministries. We are planning a meal of stuffed potatoes, chili, salad, fruit compote, and cookies. The freewill offering for the meal will benefit North Raleigh Ministries.

We still have plenty of room at the table for you and a friend or two. This is an unparalleled opportunity to be a part of the growing Women of the ELCA at Grace Lutheran Church.
