Children and Youth

During the school year we have classes for children ages 3 through high school. We provide a nursery during Sunday School and church for younger children. Summer Sunday School activities are intergenerational. Age-appropriate materials connect with the bible passage from the weekly worship service.

Ages 3 through grade 5 begin with music in the sanctuary led by Lynn Hess. Following music, the children move to their individual classrooms.

Augsburg Bible Study Class

On March 7th, our class begins a new 13-week study entitled: "Teachings on Community." As believers we understand that the Christian life is not a solitary venture, but one lived out in community within a church family. One of the best ways to form a Christian identity is to study the Bible and learn from its testimony. This study invites participants to wrestle with the writer's interpretations and form your own sense of what the texts say to you.

The study begins with two short books from the Old Testament; Jonah and Ruth, and then goes to the Gospels as we learn of the central role love plays in the Community Christ is gathering. This class is welcoming to anyone. If you are not currently participating in a Bible Study you are welcome to "try us out!" May Christ use His word to make all of us new. Now at the beginning of a new Lenten season is a wonderful time to begin attending Sunday School.

We meet: Room 3, 9:45 a.m. - Leaders: Jim Dicke and Lois Jean Query

Thursday Morning Bible Study

We will be doing a Lenten study for five weeks (beginning 2-11-10) based on Elton Trueblood's book "The Humor of Christ". Morning prayer is at 10:00 am and the Bible study begins at 10:30 am. All are Welcome!

Augsburg Quarterly Bible Study - Meets in Classroom 3

LAFS - Lutheran Adult Fellowship and Support - Meets in the Miller Building.

Topical Studies - Meets in the conference room behind the fellowship hall and pastor's office, led by John Herman.

Ready, Click, Grow

Growing your family in the Christian faith starts just a click away! No matter where you are in your own spiritual journey --no matter how little you know about the Bible, no matter how busy your schedule --you can start growing your family in the Christian faith.

We invite you to check out Ready, Click, Grow with hundreds of activities that can strengthen your family in Christ. Your family can experience more fun, more faith, and more family moments together by experimenting 15 to 20 minutes each week with ReadyClickGrow Your Family activities. Faith-growing can become a normal part of your family's week.
